Dunkin' has no stores in Israel and no documented corporate donations, statements, or programs supporting it. A locally run Dunkin' Donuts franchise operated in Israel from 1996 to 2001: the first branch near Tel Aviv's Rabin Square broke the chain's own early sales records, but the operation peaked at nine branches and closed in 2001 under heavy debts after the Second Intifada crushed tourism and sales — Israel has been a former market ever since.
