Does Mobileye Global Inc. support Israel?

Founded in Jerusalem in 1999 by Prof. Amnon Shashua and Ziv Aviram and still headquartered there, Mobileye concentrates its R&D and core operations in Israel. Intel bought it for $15.3 billion in 2017 — then the largest acquisition of an Israeli tech company — and remains majority owner after the 2022 Nasdaq re-listing. Its SEC filings show the Israeli anchoring: Israeli corporate tax, shekel hedging with Israeli banks, and continued operations through the 2023-25 war.

Two days after the October 7 attack, Mobileye announced a corporate donation of NIS 5 million (about $1.2 million) to nonprofit organizations helping residents of southern Israel evacuated from their homes near Gaza, saying it was doing everything in its power to assist the war effort and support the home front.

During the war the company's operations division visited the damaged homes of employees to secure property and help relocate belongings, and Mobileye offered financial aid for babysitting and for food and equipment deliveries to reservists, their spouses, and spouses of essential workers.

Announced at CES the acquisition of Israeli humanoid-robotics startup Mentee Robotics for $900 million (about $612 million cash plus Mobileye shares); the deal closed on February 3, 2026, keeping Mentee operating from Israel as an independent unit. Mentee was co-founded by Mobileye CEO Amnon Shashua, who recused himself from the board's approval of the transaction.

Founder and CEO Amnon Shashua and his wife Anat — acting personally, not through Mobileye — established a NIS 100 million fund giving NIS 50,000 grants to roughly 2,000 Israeli small businesses hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic, run by their family's House for Social Solidarity project.
