Abbott's documented Israel connection is commercial and technological rather than philanthropic: a Tel Aviv operating company serving the Israeli market and the 2010 purchase of Israeli laboratory-software firm StarLIMS. Hebrew press adds one further record — a joint blood-donation awareness campaign that Abbott and Magen David Adom's blood services ran in February 2018 with footballer Cristiano Ronaldo as its face, in which no money or equipment changed hands in any account of it. Note that Abbott Laboratories is frequently confused in search results with Texas Governor Greg Abbott, whose pro-Israel legislation and statements have nothing to do with the company. This pass found no Israel-specific corporate donation by Abbott or the Abbott Fund, and Abbott does not appear on the Yale School of Management list of companies that publicly condemned the 7 October 2023 attack.
