AMD's documented Israel footprint is small compared with peers such as Intel and Nvidia, and several claims that circulate about the company do not check out. Mipsology, the AI-inference software company AMD bought in August 2023, is based in Palaiseau, France — not Israel. No mainstream record was found of AMD opening a 'Zen' CPU development center in Israel. And no AMD corporate donations, statements, or employee-match programs relating to Israel — including after October 7, 2023 — were found in news coverage or in published aggregations of corporate support for Israel (Calcalist's and JLens's lists of companies that stepped up after October 7 do not mention AMD). AMD's political action committee shows no disbursements to pro-Israel committees in FEC records.

AMD Ventures, AMD's corporate venture arm, joined a $50 million financing round in Teramount Ltd., a Jerusalem developer of fiber-to-chip optical interconnects, announced on 29 July 2025. The round was led by new investor Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT); AMD Ventures came in as one of several new strategic investors alongside Hitachi Ventures, Samsung Catalyst Fund and Wistron, next to existing investor Grove Ventures. The size of AMD Ventures' own stake was not disclosed — the $50 million is the round total, not AMD money — and the investor is the venture arm, not the corporation. Molex completed its acquisition of Teramount on 7 May 2026 on undisclosed terms, the company continuing as a Jerusalem design and engineering hub.

AMD came in as a new investor in the $410 million Series D round of DriveNets, an Israeli networking-software company based in Ra'anana, announced on 1 June 2026. Bessemer Venture Partners and Atreides Management led the round; AMD and Red Dot Capital joined as new investors alongside existing backers Pitango and D1 Capital Partners. AMD's own contribution was not disclosed — the $410 million is the round total, not AMD money. AMD's senior vice president for AI, Vamsi Boppana, said the company's support for the round reflected a shared commitment to scaling AI workloads on AMD Instinct accelerators and DriveNets' fabric. On 22 July 2026 AMD and DriveNets published a joint validated reference architecture and deployment guide for AI clusters built from AMD Instinct MI350-series GPUs and AMD Pollara NICs with DriveNets' AI Fabric, the benchmarking run on MI355X clusters. The two companies also set up a joint lab where customers can run proof-of-concept tests on their own workloads, and AMD's corporate vice president for global cluster engineering, Arvind Balakumar, was quoted in the announcement. It is an engineering and go-to-market collaboration with an Israeli vendor — commerce, not support.
