Aqua Security is an Israeli-founded, Israeli-registered company that presents itself commercially as American. Dror Davidoff and Amir Jerbi started it in 2015; the operating entity is Aqua Security Software Ltd. of Ramat Gan, while the company's own site names Boston as headquarters and Ramat Gan as its other principal site, and its investor list includes Shlomo Kramer, co-founder of Check Point and Imperva. It reached a $1 billion valuation on about $325 million of funding, then contracted: 65 jobs cut in December 2022, 50 in July 2024 and dozens more in January 2025 — about 20 of them in Israel — leaving roughly 450 employees worldwide. Aqua's own about page speaks of philanthropy and volunteering as company values, and Israeli employees have posted about coat and laptop drives and farm volunteering, but the company publishes no named recipients, amounts or dates for any of it, and social posts by staff are not a publishable source. This research pass found no documented corporate donation, employee-matching programme, in-kind contribution, reservist-support scheme or official company statement by Aqua Security relating to Israel after the October 7, 2023 attack, in English or Hebrew sources, and JLens's survey of companies that supported Israel after October 7 does not mention it. Aqua does not appear on the BDS movement's consumer-boycott target lists, which concentrate on retail brands rather than developer security software.
