Does Autodesk, Inc. support Israel?

Autodesk acquired PlanPlatform (founded as Visual Tao), a Tel Aviv startup whose SaaS let engineers view and edit AutoCAD files in a browser, in December 2009 — its first acquisition of an Israeli company. The price was not officially disclosed; reports put it at roughly $20–30 million. The technology became AutoCAD WS and the team formed the base of Autodesk's Israel R&D center.

Autodesk has run an R&D center in Tel Aviv since 2009, its first in Israel, working on 3D, mobile, web and cloud products; the company's Israel site reports about 130 employees. Autodesk Israel Ltd. is still listed as a subsidiary in Autodesk's fiscal-2026 10-K subsidiaries exhibit (filed March 2026).

Autodesk's corporate Forge Fund (a $100 million fund launched December 2015) made an investment of undisclosed size in Israel-based startup Jumper.io, whose platform simulates embedded software for IoT products. The deal reunited Jumper co-founder Jonathan Seroussi (a Visual Tao founder) with Autodesk. Claims of Autodesk investments in Israeli construction-tech startups specifically were checked and not verified in this pass.
