The Home Depot has no recorded corporate donations or support for Israel: its stores are in the US, Canada, and Mexico only, it has issued no corporate statements on the conflict, and its corporate foundation (THDF II Inc., dba The Home Depot Foundation, which also runs the employee Homer Fund) funds US veteran housing, disaster relief, skilled-trades training, and employee hardship aid, with no Israel-linked grantees identified. The company's recurring association with Israel comes from its retired co-founders' personal philanthropy, which is separate from the corporation. Bernie Marcus (co-founder; left the board in 2002, died November 2024) gave through his personal Marcus Foundation: he helped found the Israel Democracy Institute, donated $25 million for the Marcus National Blood Services Center in Israel, supported Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, and gave $1 million in 2024 to the AIPAC-affiliated United Democracy Project super PAC; he pledged most of his estimated $11 billion estate to the Marcus Foundation. Co-founder Arthur Blank, also long retired from the company, made $750,000 in emergency grants through his personal Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation in October 2023 to Barzilai and Soroka medical centers and United Hatzalah. Boycott calls against Home Depot cite the founders' personal giving and politics — not corporate money — and the company is not on the BDS movement's targeted boycott lists.
