KLM's Israel record is operational, not financial: no donations, sponsorships or political statements about Israel were found. Since the route reopened in April 2024 the airline has suspended and restored Amsterdam–Tel Aviv service several more times — July 2024, the June 2025 Israel-Iran war, and a longer stretch from March to August 2026 — each time citing safety, operational or commercial grounds rather than a position on the war, and each time returning rather than exiting the market. The January-March 2026 episode shows a distinction worth tracking precisely: KLM described its initial 2026 pause as security-driven airspace avoidance shared with Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam, then explicitly switched to calling the March 2026 pause 'operational and commercial' — its own words, not a description imposed on it.
