Does American Airlines Group Inc. support Israel?

Codeshare partnership with Israel's flag carrier El Al, begun February 2008: American's AA code went on El Al's Tel Aviv flights from New York-JFK, Los Angeles, Miami and Newark and from European gateways, with El Al's LY code on American domestic flights. The AAdvantage frequent-flyer tie was dropped on 1 November 2014, but the codeshare itself continued and was expanded on 18 December 2014 to eight El Al routes from Tel Aviv to Europe. The relationship ended on 30 March 2024, when El Al replaced it with its new Delta partnership. This was a commercial airline agreement, now concluded.

Entered the Israel market with its own aircraft in 2021: daily New York-JFK–Tel Aviv service launched 6 May 2021 and 4x-weekly Miami–Tel Aviv from June 2021 (a planned Dallas/Fort Worth–Tel Aviv route was cancelled in May 2022 before launching, and the Miami route was later cut). American suspended all Tel Aviv service after the 7 October 2023 attacks and has repeatedly postponed its return — a planned March 2026 JFK restart was pushed to January 2027 amid the 2026 escalation — making it the last of the big three US carriers to come back to Israel.
