From 2005 the company was deeply embedded in Israel: the $818 million Agis acquisition made it one of the country's biggest pharmaceutical employers, with a Bnei Brak headquarters, the Yeruham generics plant and the Chemagis API business, and its SEC filings carried a standing risk factor about its 'significant operations in Israel.' Perrigo then exited in stages — Chemagis to SK Capital in 2017, and the whole generic prescription business, Israeli plants included, to Altaris in 2021, where it now trades as Padagis. Note that Padagis is an independent company and its Israeli activity should not be attributed to Perrigo. What remains today is a supply relationship: Perrigo still buys raw materials and finished goods from Israeli suppliers for some self-care products.
