Background

SEAT is the Spanish brand of Volkswagen Group, based in Martorell near Barcelona, and also the company behind CUPRA. No donation, humanitarian pledge, sponsorship, investment, contract or statement of support for Israel by SEAT, S.A. has been documented. SEAT has no company owned by it in Israel and no research or technology site there: SEAT and CUPRA cars are imported and sold by Champion Motors, an independent Israeli company that has represented the Volkswagen Group since 1965 and also handles Volkswagen, Audi and Škoda. SEAT sold well in that market — 6,811 SEAT cars were delivered in Israel in 2025 — but selling cars through an independent importer is a commercial arrangement, not corporate support, and Champion Motors' own conduct is never attributed to SEAT here. Israeli technology work at group level (the Konnect innovation hub in Tel Aviv, which scouts start-ups for Volkswagen Group brands including SEAT, the CYMOTIVE cybersecurity joint venture, and the CARIAD–Innoviz lidar contract) belongs to the parent company, not to the SEAT brand.
