Background
Wyndham is a pure franchisor: it owns essentially none of the roughly 9,000 hotels flying its brands, and it does not manage them either. Everything visible under the Ramada or Trip name in Israel therefore belongs to and is run by Israeli companies — principally Leshem Hotel Group in Netanya, Hadera, Nazareth and Jerusalem — with Wyndham supplying the brand, reservation system and loyalty programme in return for fees. That is a real, continuing commercial tie to Israel, but it is not the same as Wyndham owning hotels there, and no wartime donation, evacuee-housing programme or corporate statement by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts itself was found in this pass. Actions taken by the Israeli franchisees during the 2023-25 war are theirs, not the parent company's.
