Background

Braun has been a Procter & Gamble brand since P&G bought The Gillette Company, Braun's owner, in 2005; its household-appliance line is licensed to De'Longhi and is not P&G's business. What is documented at the brand level in Israel is commercial only — distribution through Diplomat, an official Israeli service portal, retail presence, no local factory. The Israel-related actions that boycott posts attach to Braun belong to the parent and must be attributed there: P&G's Israeli subsidiary P&G Israel M.D.O. Ltd. and its "Israel House of Innovation" open-innovation hub, opened in 2007 with a bilateral agreement with Israel's Office of the Chief Scientist that gives Israeli startups collaborating with P&G favourable access to government funding. P&G made no corporate statement on the war after October 7, 2023 — its CFO called the attack and the war that followed a "human tragedy" — and this pass found no donation, in-kind product drive (including shavers or grooming kits for soldiers), sponsorship or political contribution by the Braun brand to Israeli military, government or relief causes; the toiletry drives for IDF soldiers that surface in searches are run by independent charities such as the US-based Shaving Israel, not by Braun. P&G's one documented brand-level Israeli philanthropy belongs to a sister brand, Pantene (its partnership with the children's-cancer charity Zichron Menachem, including a $100,000 grant in 2018), and is not Braun's. Neither Braun nor P&G appears on the BDS movement's official boycott target lists. Hebrew coverage of “בראון” is almost all other parties: the insolvent Brown Hotels boutique chain, whose business passed to Israel Canada under a 2024-25 creditors' arrangement, the music manager Scooter Braun, and the basketball player Lorenzo Brown — none of them this Braun.
