Does Fox support Israel?

Fox Corporation donated $1 million to the UJA-Federation of New York's Israel Emergency Fund three days after the October 7 Hamas attack. The fund provides cash assistance to families of those killed, wounded, or kidnapped (via the Jewish Agency's Victims of Terror Fund), trauma counseling, equipment for public hospitals in southern Israel, support for Holocaust survivors, and aid to Israeli military personnel and their families. Fox News also published a donation link directing viewers to the fund.

Fox Corporation promoted the UJA-Federation of New York's Israel Emergency Fund across its own platforms — Fox News and other Fox channels — from the days after the 7 October 2023 attack and still doing so when The Forward reported it on 9 November 2023, running on-air graphics for the fund during segments and inviting viewers to donate. Fox approached the charity, not the other way round: UJA-Federation spokesperson Emily Kutner said "Fox execs came to us and said they wanted to promote our fund across multiple platforms", and added that as far as she knew no other network promoted it. Fox spokesperson Lauren Townsend said the company was sharing the fund with viewers "across our Fox platforms". This is donated promotion and airtime by the corporation, separate from and additional to its own $1 million cash gift; no monetary value has been reported for it, and the fund's overall total came from many donors, not from Fox.
