KitKat is a Nestlé brand, and its Israeli position differs from that of brands sold there by independent importers: KitKat is marketed in Israel by Osem-Nestlé, the Israeli food group Nestlé has owned outright since February 2016 (Nestlé first invested and took exclusive Israeli distribution rights in 1995). Nestlé's own Israeli company therefore runs KitKat marketing, brand pages and local launches such as the November 2025 KitKat Chunky Funky limited edition. No donation, sponsorship, investment or statement of support for Israel, its government or its military has been documented for the KitKat brand itself, and no evidence was found that KitKat bars are made in Israel. What is documented at subsidiary level, and recorded on the Nestlé page, is that Osem-Nestlé — not the Swiss parent — sent food and water shipments to IDF soldiers and rescue forces in the first days of the October 2023 war, delivered tens of thousands of dry-goods products to the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers, and sent baby food and other products to residents of Sderot and southern families. Those donations are attributed to the Israeli subsidiary that markets KitKat locally, not to the KitKat brand or to Nestlé S.A., which made no statement of support and instead temporarily closed an Israeli plant in October 2023 as a safety precaution. Nestlé and KitKat do not appear on the BDS movement's official targeted-boycott list.
