Does Marvell Technology, Inc. support Israel?

Marvell acquired Israeli communications-chip company Galileo Technology in an all-stock merger valued at about $2.7 billion when announced in October 2000 — then one of the largest acquisitions of an Israeli technology company ever. The merger closed in January 2001, converting each Galileo share into 0.674 Marvell shares (Galileo holders received roughly 25% of the combined company). Galileo became the foundation of Marvell's Israeli operations.

Marvell bought Tel Aviv networking-software company Radlan for $49.7 million in cash and shares (a company value of about $54 million), announced in February 2003 and completed in July 2003, deepening its Israeli engineering base.

Marvell Israel, headquartered in Yokneam with a second site in Petah Tikva, is one of Marvell's largest R&D centers: several hundred engineers (roughly 700) developing OCTEON processors and Prestera switch chips, including Marvell's first 5-nanometer designs. Marvell's FY2025 10-K lists 187,000 sq ft of research-and-design facilities in Israel — among its largest R&D footprints outside the US — notes the company benefits from Israel's 'Encouragement of Investments Law' special technology enterprise tax regime, and discloses that the post-October-7 war has not had a material impact on its Israeli operations.

According to JLens's analysis of corporate responses after October 7, Marvell employees participated in more than 30 volunteer projects across Israel — establishing community gardens, assisting local farmers with harvesting, refurbishing furniture for displaced citizens, and supporting technology initiatives for youth in peripheral regions. This was employee volunteering, not a corporate donation; no corporate dollar figure was reported.
