Does Moderna, Inc. support Israel?

Signed its initial COVID-19 vaccine supply agreement with Israel's Ministry of Health, announced by Prime Minister Netanyahu in June 2020 — one of Moderna's earliest international supply deals. Financial terms were not officially disclosed; Israeli media reports ranged from about $60 million for one million doses (CTech) to NIS 405 million (~$120 million, Times of Israel). Chief Medical Officer Tal Zaks later said "Israel was among the first countries we approached to offer the opportunity to purchase our Covid-19 vaccine early."

Amended the supply agreement with Israel's Ministry of Health to add doses, bringing Israel's confirmed order to 6 million doses of mRNA-1273. Moderna's FY2020 annual report lists Israel among its committed supply agreements at "Israel: 6 million doses."

Announced a new supply agreement with the Israeli government for 2022 — Moderna's first firm order for 2022 supply — including an option for variant-specific booster doses; the two earlier agreements had totaled 10 million doses. CEO Stéphane Bancel cited "the continued confidence and collaboration with the Israel Ministry of Health."

Partnered with Israel-based Medison Pharma to commercialize Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine across Central and Eastern Europe and Israel, a multi-country commercialization agreement covering about 20 markets. Medison, not Moderna, is the acting local partner in Israel.

Runs clinical development in Israel: its FY2020 10-K lists Israel among trial locations for the mRNA-2416 and mRNA-2752 intratumoral oncology studies ("sites in the United States and Israel") and among planned Phase 3 countries for its CMV vaccine candidate mRNA-1647. R&D activity, not donations or political support.
