Morgan Stanley's documented Israel ties are operational: a Tel Aviv office since 2001 and, from May 2026, a primary-dealer role in Israeli government bonds. Unlike peers such as Goldman Sachs ($2 million) or the Citi Foundation ($1 million), no verified Morgan Stanley corporate donation to Israel-specific relief after October 7, 2023 was found. After the attacks the firm told its Israel employees to work from home, and its Philanthropy Management arm published a guide to charities providing humanitarian relief in both Israel and Gaza. Its affiliated donor-advised fund, Morgan Stanley GIFT, distributed about $5.7 million in 2023 to nonprofits aiding the crisis in Israel and Gaza — but those grants are recommended and funded by client donors, not by the corporation.
