No recorded donations to or support for Israel by Popeyes have been found, and no Popeyes restaurant in Israel could be verified. Popeyes is the New Orleans-founded fried-chicken brand owned since 2017 by Restaurant Brands International; of its roughly 5,400 restaurants in more than 50 countries, the Middle Eastern markets it operates in are Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon and the Palestinian territories — Israel is not among them, and neither the brand's international franchising materials nor Israeli business media record an Israeli franchise or opening. Content sites answering the boycott question assert that Popeyes ran branches in Israel in the 1990s and again from 2010 to 2015; none of them cites a source, and searches of Israeli press in Hebrew and English found no such operation, so the claim is treated as unverified.
