Uniqlo has never opened a store in Israel, and Fast Retailing's own investor-facing market breakdown still covers only Japan, Greater China, South Korea, Southeast Asia/India/Australia, North America, and Europe — Israel appears nowhere. The only real link ever reported was March 2019, when Globes said Israel's Azrieli Group was in talks to bring Uniqlo to its malls; nothing came of it, and no follow-up reporting in English or Hebrew has surfaced since, suggesting the talks quietly died rather than being formally called off. A fresh rumor cycle hit Israeli social media in January 2026: a well-known Israeli advertising figure, Lior Noyfeld, posted a photo appearing to show a Uniqlo storefront opening at Dizengoff 117 in Tel Aviv, claiming secrecy and a signed deal with Japan. N12/Mako's consumer desk traced the claim and found the store was entirely fabricated, which Noyfeld himself later confirmed — no Israeli Uniqlo store opened.
