No records were found of Coty corporate donations, statements, or operations supporting Israel. Boycott lists that include Coty do so because of its controlling shareholder, JAB Holding, owned by Germany's Reimann family: after uncovering their ancestors' Nazi-era past, the family created the Alfred Landecker Foundation in 2019 to fund Holocaust remembrance and the fight against antisemitism, including a $13 million grant to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and support for Hillel — philanthropy of the shareholder family in Germany, not a Coty corporate action. In the other direction, Coty disclosed in 2013 SEC correspondence that its United Arab Emirates unit, Coty FZCO, had included legends on invoices confirming goods were not manufactured in Israel — in effect complying with the Arab League boycott — and that it voluntarily self-reported this to the US Commerce Department's Office of Antiboycott Compliance in January 2013 and stopped the practice. Coty has no political action committee and no corporate foundation.
