Background

Deliveroo has never operated in Israel, and no donation, sponsorship, investment, statement or political spending by the company in support of Israel has been documented. The British food-delivery firm, founded in London in 2013, currently runs in the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, and has withdrawn over the years from Germany (2019), Taiwan (2020), Spain (2021), the Netherlands and Australia (2022), Hong Kong (2025) and Singapore and Qatar (2026); Israel appears neither among its current markets nor among the markets it exited. One parent-level nuance matters and must not be conflated with Deliveroo: the US company DoorDash completed its £2.9 billion takeover of Deliveroo on 2 October 2025, and DoorDash separately owns the Finnish delivery app Wolt, which has operated in Israel since 2018. Wolt's Israeli business is a sister brand's activity under a shared owner — it is not Deliveroo's, and nothing in Wolt's Israeli operation is attributed to Deliveroo here. Deliveroo is not named on the BDS movement's official targeted-boycott list.
