Hyatt has no hotels in Israel today. Its one historical tie was the Hyatt Regency Jerusalem on Mount Scopus in East Jerusalem, which opened in the late 1980s; the Hyatt affiliation ended in the 2000s and the property was sold to Israel's Dan Hotels in 2010, reopening as the Dan Jerusalem. No corporate donations or statements supporting Israel were found: Hyatt states it operates no political action committee and makes no federal campaign donations, and the Hyatt Hotels Foundation's disclosed grants (Red Cross, World Central Kitchen and similar) show no Israel-linked recipients. Historical, ended tie: the Hyatt Regency Jerusalem, a 500-plus-room hotel on Mount Scopus in East Jerusalem (built 1981–1986), carried the Hyatt Regency flag from its opening; Israeli tourism minister Rehavam Ze'evi was assassinated there in 2001.
