Background

No recorded donations, sponsorships or statements of support for Israel were found for ING Group. The Dutch bank has no Israeli operation: ING's own list of the 40-plus countries it works in — which includes the United Arab Emirates and Türkiye in the wider region — does not name Israel, and it was not among the seven banks identified in independent research as underwriters of the Israeli government bonds issued after October 2023 (Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, Citi, Barclays and JPMorgan Chase). Where ING does appear in the Israel debate is in campaign research: a November 2024 report by the Dutch peace organisation PAX described ING as the largest Dutch investor, at roughly €7.8 billion, in companies it links to Israeli settlements, and the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre lists ING among more than 800 European financial institutions with financial relationships to such companies. Those are advocacy findings about portfolio and lending exposure — largely index-tracking and syndicated positions in listed multinationals — and this project does not treat them as evidence of corporate support for Israel, nor as proof of the opposite. Our record here is a floor, not a ceiling: it means we found nothing in these sources on this date, not that nothing exists.

  Searched Dutch, Israeli and international financial press from October 2023 to July 2026 for ING donations, aid, sponsorships, Israeli bond mandates or divestment announcements: nothing was found in either direction beyond NGO reporting on portfolio exposure.

  ING Groep N.V. is a Dutch company; its charitable activity runs through Dutch and other non-US vehicles that file no Form 990, and ProPublica returned no matching US grantmaker with Israel-linked grants.
