Israeli company from birth: established in 1994 by the Tadiran conglomerate around stolen-vehicle-location technology originally developed for military use at Tadiran Telematics, then sold in 1995 to an investor group led by Izzy Sheratzky, whose family still leads the company (CEO Eyal Sheratzky). Headquartered in Azor, just outside Tel Aviv, it listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in 1998 and on Nasdaq in 2005 (raising about $50 million), and is a market leader in vehicle telematics and stolen-vehicle recovery in Israel, Brazil and Argentina with over two million subscribers.

Nine days after October 7, Ituran issued a press release standing behind Israel's war footing: CEO Eyal Sheratzky said the company was 'absolutely horrified by the barbaric attacks against ordinary citizens' by Hamas, noted that among its Israeli employees 'everyone knows a family that has either had a son or daughter murdered or kidnapped by Hamas,' called Israelis 'resilient people' experienced in 'working and overcoming challenging times,' and affirmed there was no disruption to operations from its headquarters near Tel Aviv — a deliberate business-continuity signal for the Israeli economy under the government's declaration of war.
