Kodak's Israeli record is corporate and commercial rather than philanthropic or political. Between 2003 and 2005 Kodak bought the Israeli medical-imaging company Algotec, bought Scitex Digital Printing from Israel's Scitex Corporation, and acquired Canada's Creo — a deal that carried with it roughly a thousand Israeli employees inherited from Scitex's prepress division. The Algotec line left Kodak in 2007 with the sale of Kodak's Health Group to Onex/Carestream and reached Philips only in 2019, so the 2003 Algotec purchase belongs to Kodak, not Philips. Kodak's Israeli subsidiary, Kodak IL Ltd., still appears in the company's SEC subsidiary list and Kodak still recruits engineers in Petah Tikva. No donation by Eastman Kodak to the Israeli government, military or to Israeli charitable causes is on record, and no corporate statement of political support was found.
