Until November 28, 2022 RADA Electronic Industries was an independent Israeli radar maker listed on Nasdaq; since that date it is DRS RADA Technologies Ltd., a wholly owned Israeli subsidiary of Leonardo DRS (itself the US arm of Italy's Leonardo), and former RADA shareholders hold 19.5% of the merged company. Radars developed and built in Netanya are used in Israeli programmes — most publicly through Elbit Systems/IMI's Iron Fist active protection system selected by the Israeli Ministry of Defense in 2019 for the IDF's Eitan armored fighting vehicle and D-9 bulldozer — and also by the US Marine Corps and other Western forces.
