Tampax became a Procter & Gamble brand when P&G acquired Tambrands in 1997; before that it belonged to an independent American company. Everything documented about Tampax in Israel is commercial — distribution through the Israeli group Diplomat, imported stock, no local factory — and this pass found no Tampax donation, in-kind aid, sponsorship, statement or political contribution to Israeli military, government or relief causes. The Israel-related items that boycott posts attach to the brand belong to its parent: P&G runs the subsidiary P&G Israel M.D.O. Ltd. and, since 2007, the 'Israel House of Innovation' open-innovation hub, created under a bilateral agreement with Israel's Office of the Chief Scientist that gives Israeli startups collaborating with P&G favourable access to government funding.
