Evian is Danone's French mineral-water brand; it has no company, plant or foundation of its own in Israel, and its Israeli presence is import and retail distribution through local companies. Danone's substantive Israeli ties sit at parent level and are documented on the Danone page: the 20% stake in the dairy business of Israel's Strauss Group held since December 1996, the exclusive licence under which Strauss makes and markets Danone fresh dairy in Israel, and 2023 venture investments in the Israeli food-tech startups Wilk and Imagindairy. Nothing was found documenting a donation, in-kind gift, sponsorship or statement of support for the Israeli state, its army or any Israeli organisation by the Evian brand or by Danone Waters, including after 7 October 2023. Boycott lists that name Evian do so because it is a Danone brand and cite the Strauss stake, not any act of Evian.
