Hitachi's documented ties to Israel are mostly commercial: a wholly owned Israeli sales subsidiary (Hitachi Vantara Israel in Herzliya, active in the Israeli enterprise and smart-city markets, including a direct storage contract with Israel Police), repeated venture investments in the Israeli-founded data company WEKA and a 2025 stake in the Jerusalem optical-connectivity company Teramount, both through Hitachi Ventures, a 2023 Hitachi Vantara sourcing agreement that sells the Israeli company CTERA's file services under the Hitachi brand, and other wholly owned local units for specific business lines (Hitachi Energy Israel, Hitachi High-Tech Israel, and GlobalLogic Israel — a software-engineering subsidiary in Ramat Gan that came with Hitachi's 2021 acquisition of GlobalLogic) that are routine sales/engineering presences, not separately evidenced here.
