Does Palantir Technologies Inc. support Israel?

In the days after the October 7 Hamas attack, Palantir took out a full-page ad in The New York Times declaring that it "stands with Israel" and posted on X (October 16, 2023): "Palantir stands with Israel... Certain kinds of evil can only be fought with force." These were corporate statements, issued by the company itself.

Palantir held its first board of directors meeting of 2024 in Tel Aviv as a deliberate show of solidarity during the war, announcing: "We stand with Israel. The board of directors of Palantir will be gathering in Tel Aviv next week for its first meeting of the new year." CEO Alex Karp said the company had also undertaken undisclosed initiatives to assist Israel that he was proud of.

Signed a strategic partnership with Israel's Ministry of Defense to supply technology — including its AIP artificial-intelligence platform — "in support of war-related missions," agreed after Israeli defense officials met co-founders Peter Thiel and Alex Karp in Tel Aviv. The deal was reported to be worth tens of millions of dollars to the company. A 2026 shareholder solicitation filed with the SEC describes Palantir as a deeply embedded strategic partner of the Israel Ministry of Defense.

CEO Alex Karp said on CNBC that Palantir has lost employees over its outspoken pro-Israel position and accepted that cost: "We've lost employees. I'm sure we'll lose employees... If you have a position that does not cost you ever to lose an employee, it's not a position." Karp has called Palantir one of only a few companies publicly pro-Israel after October 7.

Has operated in Israel for roughly a decade, with a Tel Aviv office staffed largely by former Israeli government officials, and continued supplying its technology to Israel's war effort during the Gaza war. Norwegian asset manager Storebrand later divested about $24 million of Palantir stock over its Israel-related work.
