Background

Primark is the clothing retail arm of the British group Associated British Foods (ABF) and trades as Penneys in Ireland. No donation, sponsorship, investment, statement or political spending by Primark in support of Israel has been documented. The chain has no stores in Israel: its roughly 450 stores sit in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, the United States and — its only Middle Eastern markets, opened through franchise partners — Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. Parent ABF discloses no Israeli operations or joint ventures, and any action by ABF or its food brands would belong on a parent page, not here. Primark's name circulates on unofficial boycott directories, which cite alleged garment-supply links to Israeli manufacturers rather than any donation; we found no primary documentation — supplier disclosure, filing or company statement — supporting those claims, and advocacy listings are never treated as evidence here. Primark is not named on the BDS movement's own official targeted-boycott list.
