Pull&Bear is not an independent company: it is a brand of Industria de Diseño Textil, S.A. (Inditex), launched in 1991 and run from Narón, Spain. No donation, aid pledge, sponsorship, investment or statement of support for Israel by Pull&Bear or by Inditex has been documented. The only verified Israeli connection is retail presence, and it is indirect — the Israeli shops belong to the independent franchisee that also imports Zara. Boycott pressure on the brand traces to that franchisee's chairman hosting an Itamar Ben-Gvir campaign event in October 2022, which Inditex publicly disowned while keeping the franchise agreement in place. Pull&Bear, founded in 1991, is a retail format of the Spanish group Inditex and owns no stores in Israel. Its Israeli branches — in malls such as Dizengoff Center in Tel Aviv, Ramat Aviv Mall and Renanim in Ra'anana — are operated by the independent local franchisee that holds the Israeli Inditex agency, bought from Gotex Brands in 2009 by a Canadian investor group led by Joey Schwebel and trading as Trimera Brands. Hebrew mall listings describe the shops as belonging to the "Zara group" importer. Employees, leases and inventory risk belong to the franchisee; Pull&Bear's role is the franchise agreement, wholesale supply and royalties.

On 10 October 2023, days after the outbreak of the Gaza war, Inditex announced the temporary closure of the 84 franchised stores its brands had in Israel — Zara, Pull&Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti and Zara Home. The Pull&Bear shops among them reopened later; about 82 Inditex-brand franchise stores were operating in Israel at the end of 2024. The closure and reopening were commercial and safety decisions about a franchised network, not donations or declarations of political support.

This was the personal act of the franchisee's chairman, not an act of Pull&Bear or of Inditex; in November 2022 Inditex told the Palestinian National Economy Ministry that its Israeli agent's statements "do not represent or reflect the company's policy and opinion."
