Background

Emirates is the Dubai government-owned international airline of the UAE. Its documented Israel link is commercial aviation in the Abraham Accords era: it flew Dubai–Tel Aviv from June 2022 until the October 2023 war suspension and dropped the route from its schedules in November 2025. A restart was evaluated through mid-2026 — including an Israeli offer of seventh-freedom Tel Aviv–New York and Tel Aviv–Bangkok rights in May 2026 as an incentive to return — but no Emirates service to Israel had resumed as of September 2026; Emirates' own Israel website no longer lists a Dubai–Tel Aviv destination page. Note the attribution: flydubai, the separate Dubai government-owned carrier that has operated Dubai–Tel Aviv since November 2020 and continued far more extensively, is a distinct airline (a sister company under the same government holding entity, not an Emirates subsidiary) — its flights are not Emirates'. Emirates launched daily Dubai–Tel Aviv service on 23 June 2022 with a Boeing 777-300ER — its first-ever entry into the Israeli market, made possible by the 2020 Abraham Accords normalizing UAE–Israel relations — and grew the route to three daily flights by 2023 on strong demand. The airline suspended the route on 12 October 2023, citing customer and crew safety after the outbreak of war, and repeatedly extended the suspension. It had scheduled a single daily restart for April 2026 using a Boeing 777-200LR, then scrapped that plan and removed Tel Aviv from its booking systems entirely in November 2025. Israeli officials said in February 2026 that Emirates was evaluating a restart "in the coming months" with no firm date set, and in May 2026 Israel's transport ministry offered Emirates seventh-freedom rights to fly Tel Aviv–New York and Tel Aviv–Bangkok as an incentive to return — but no Emirates service to Israel had resumed as of September 2026. Throughout, Emirates' own public statements have framed the suspension around safety and operational readiness, not politics; the airline has made no political statement against Israel, and this ended relationship is recorded here with its dates.
