No donations, sponsorships, investments or statements supporting Israel by ETİ Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. are on record. ETİ is a privately held Turkish biscuit and confectionery maker founded in Eskişehir by Firuz Kanatlı, producing in Turkish plants; it is not listed on any exchange, has no Israeli shareholder, no Israeli subsidiary and no documented Israel export or distribution agreement. The boycott claims that circulate about 'Eti' in Turkey rest largely on a name collision. Eti Maden İşletmeleri Genel Müdürlüğü — a completely separate, state-owned boron mining enterprise attached to the Turkey Wealth Fund — is the entity with a documented Israel shipment: journalist Metin Cihan published customs and vessel-tracking documents showing that on 23 March 2024 Eti Maden loaded 21 tonnes of boron ore at Gemlik port bound for the Israeli firm Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd., arriving at Ashdod on 29 March 2024 and Haifa on 1 April 2024. That shipment was made by a Turkish state mining company, not by the biscuit maker; the two share only the brand-name 'Eti' and have no ownership link whatsoever. Turkey halted all export, import and transit trade with Israel on 2 May 2024. On the record as it stands, ETİ Gıda has no relationship with Israel in either direction, and no evidence of support for Israel exists.
