Does Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. support Israel?

CEO David Zaslav told staff in an internal memo he was "deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific events in Israel," calling the October 7 attack "unthinkable evil" and "one of the deadliest in Jewish history since the Holocaust," and praising CNN and TVN journalists covering the war. Unlike Disney and Comcast, the company announced no corporate donation; Zaslav pointed employees to a curated list of relief partners and the company's matching gift program on Benevity.

Publicly rejected the Film Workers for Palestine pledge (signed by thousands of film workers) to boycott Israeli film institutions, telling Variety: "Our policies prohibit discrimination of any kind, including discrimination based on race, religion, national origin or ancestry. We believe a boycott of Israeli film institutions violates our policies" — becoming the second major Hollywood studio, after Paramount, to reject the boycott.

Launched the HBO Max streaming service in Israel on January 13, 2026, sold direct-to-consumer and through local pay-TV providers, with regional COO Jamie Cook saying the company was "excited to bring HBO Max directly to viewers in Israel, a market with an active and engaged audience." Warner Bros. Discovery also operates in Israel through subsidiaries including Cable News International Israel Ltd (CNN's Israeli entity, per its SEC subsidiary list).
