Swarovski does business in Israel — we found records of its operations there, but no record of donations, aid, or a public statement of support. Every claim below links to its source.

Background

Swarovski is privately held by the Swarovski family and files no public accounts: it is not an SEC registrant, it has no US foundation filing a Form 990, and it has no corporate PAC. Who Profits gives its head office as Triesen, Liechtenstein, while the crystal business's home remains Wattens, Austria; the group also contains Tyrolit, Swarovski Optik, Swareflex and Signity, so a claim about one of those businesses is not a claim about the crystal brand. Two separate things are often read as Swarovski supporting Israel, and neither is. First, the Swarovski Foundation is a distinct legal actor — a charity registered in London, England and Wales number 1153618 — and after the escalation of October 2023 it said it was supporting the British Red Cross emergency appeal covering Gaza, the West Bank and Israel, stressing that Red Cross and Red Crescent staff "help anybody affected according to need, not location" and that it supports people "without discrimination". That is impartial humanitarian aid routed through a neutral movement, not aid to one side, and no amount was disclosed. Second, the 2022 condemnation of brand ambassador Bella Hadid that some headlines credited to "Swarovski's Israel branch" was issued by the Israeli importer, while Swarovski itself said it is "an apolitical company" that "does not make political statements". Swarovski does not appear in the UN OHCHR database of businesses linked to Israeli settlements published as A/HRC/60/19, and it is not among the boycott targets listed in the BDS movement's own guide.

Who Profits, an Israeli advocacy research centre, lists Swarovski for exactly one activity: its profile states that "the company operates a shop in Design City complex located in Mishor Adumim settlement industrial zone, occupied West Bank", and cites its own February 2022 update on that complex. A Swarovski-branded shop in the complex is confirmed by the mall's own website: its store page for סברובסקי (Swarovski), captured in February 2022, gives a ground-floor unit in the covered "Piazza" hall, telephone 02-6797986. The same website attributes that shop to an Israeli retailer rather than to Swarovski — the mall's own magazine page for the unit is headed "Gold Time Swarovski", and Gold Time, an Israeli jewellery and watch retailer, had its own separate unit in the same hall, also ground floor "Piazza", telephone 02-6797985. On that record the acting party is a local franchise retailer trading under the brand, not Swarovski itself, so Who Profits' phrase "the company" is its own characterisation and not a documented corporate operation. The Who Profits entry is marked valid only until 18 October 2021. Swarovski and Gold Time are both absent from the mall's own store directory as captured in October 2025. That absence does not show the shop closed, and this page does not claim it did: the directory was rebuilt between the two captures — it carries 68 shop links in October 2025 against 111 in January 2022, only 51 of the older links survive and 17 are new — and of the other Design City tenants Who Profits lists, Natuzzi is still in the October 2025 directory while Roche Bobois and Altoni Leather are not. The mall's own copy describes about 200 shops in both captures, so neither list is a complete tenant roster.

Swarovski sells in Israel through independent local importers and franchise operators rather than a retail company of its own. A. Yalon Ltd of Tel Aviv states on its own website that every Swarovski-brand chain store in Israel is "operated by our company (A. Yalon)", and lists six boutiques: Ramat Aviv Mall in Tel Aviv, Ir Yamim Mall in Netanya, HaKanyon HaGadol in Petah Tikva, Grand Canyon in Haifa, Big Fashion in Ashdod and Grand Canyon in Beersheba — all inside the Green Line. Israel Hayom named a second importer, the Crystalino Group (which it spelled "Cristilano"), reported elsewhere as "the importer and owner of Swarovski stores in Israel". Shukha, which Who Profits also names as an Israeli distributor, runs a Swarovski online store whose own page title calls it the official Swarovski importer in Israel. This is ordinary market presence through third-party importers and franchisees. It is not a donation, aid, or a statement of support.

When Swarovski named model Bella Hadid a brand ambassador in May 2022, the pro-Israel objection on the record came from its Israeli importers, not from Swarovski. The Crystalino Group, described as the importer and owner of Swarovski's stores in Israel, said it "unequivocally renounces" the appointment, that it "will not allow Hadid to take part in the advertisement of the brand in Israel", and that it was "acting quickly to replace her". The second importer, A. Yalon Ltd, said the boycott calls circulating online were "a blow mainly to the local franchisee and the income of many Israeli families". Swarovski itself publicly defended the appointment and declined to take a side: "Swarovski is an apolitical company and does not make political statements. There is no place for hatred or violence in any aspect of society." The company kept Hadid, who fronted its holiday campaign released that October. So the position on the record belongs to the Israeli importers and franchise operators; the brand's own stated position was a refusal to make any political statement.
