No donation, sponsorship, foundation grant, investment or supportive statement toward Israel or the Israeli government by Migros Ticaret A.Ş. is on record. Migros Ticaret is a Turkish supermarket operator listed on Borsa Istanbul; its own corporate disclosure describes a business that operates only in Türkiye — around 3,800 stores across all 81 provinces, 73 distribution centres, 14 production facilities and some 23,500 suppliers. It has no Israeli subsidiary, no Israeli store and no documented purchase or import agreement with an Israeli company. Three separate confusions feed the boycott claims and are worth separating. First, the name. The Migros name in Turkey originates from a 1954 joint venture with the Swiss Migros cooperative, which has had no ownership of the Turkish company for decades; the two are different businesses, and neither is Israeli. Second, the group. Migros Ticaret is part of Anadolu Group, which also controls Anadolu Efes and, through it, the Coca-Cola bottler Coca-Cola İçecek. Because the Coca-Cola brand sits on international boycott lists, Turkish social-media posts have treated Migros as boycott-worthy 'through Coca-Cola' — a corporate-family association, not a transaction with Israel, and Coca-Cola İçecek itself does not bottle for Israel (Israel's bottler is the separate Israeli company CBC). Third, shelf contents. The concrete complaints filed against Migros by Turkish consumers are that its stores continued to stock international brands appearing on boycott lists; that is a merchandising decision by a retailer, and it is not evidence of support for Israel. On the trade side, Turkey restricted exports to Israel in 54 product groups on 9 April 2024 and halted all trade with Israel on 2 May 2024, and the Directorate of Communications states no export customs declaration to Israel has been registered since — a domestic Turkish grocery chain has no import or export relationship with Israel to end. Nothing in the record shows Migros Ticaret supporting Israel.
